2PM’s Junho: “If I Have a Girlfriend, I’d Keep It a Secret”
On April 21, 2PM hosted independent concert “Legend of 2PM” at Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan.
Junho announced at the press conference, which was held prior to the concert, “I will be revealing my original song ‘Say Yes‘ during today’s concert. I understand that fans have seen me dancing and singing all at the same time for some time now, so I wanted to show a different side of me. This song is going to make you feel butterflies in your stomach. I wrote this song because I wanted to appeal to the fans with something special.”
He also commented on the repertoires of “Legend of 2PM,” “We have this one particular repertoire that we’ve been using since three years ago. From that repertoire, we included songs that we think are most loved by our fans. There are some songs we translated into Japan for our Japanese promotion and some original Japanese songs, too.”
He continued, “Tokyo Dome is a symbol for Japan and where 2PM is having our turning point. I think this is the concert that is going to cover all of our past promotions and history. Since we only have 3 hours and 30 minutes, we had to really think hard about what to include and what to cut out. I’m a little disappointed that we don’t get to show more of us, but since we put our best efforts in this show and it’s filled with so many great songs and performances, I hope everyone’s looking forward to it.”
He also talked about idols and their public romantic relationships. He said, “Whether one is an idol or not, dating and romantic relationships are all up to the person. It depends on how the person feels about the situation. To be honest, I’m not sure how I feel about it. I haven’t been in a relationship in so long. I understand that the times have changed and many idol stars are able to talk about their relationships more openly than in the past. But for me, that’s not the case. Even if I do get involved in a romantic relationship, I don’t think I’d want to make it so public. I think I’m gonna keep it a secret.”
Meanwhile, 2PM is planning on making a come back in Korea in May. They will be arriving in Korea on April 22, after their Tokyo Dome concert.
