Lady Gaga releases "Applause"single cover

Lady Gaga is back - and quirkier than ever.
With anticipation already steadily building ahead of her ARTPOP album release on November 11, the singer has now revealed the cover of the first single, Applause.
The star appears as a work of art in the image, taken by Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, with her face painted white with splashes of colour smeared around her eyes and mouth and her hair covered in a black wrap, as she emerges through a white billowing coat by designer Gareth Pugh.
Now back with a killer new body and attitude to boot, the 27-year-old is busy drumming up interest in her third studio album, which will be available for pre-order on iTunes on August 19 - the same day the album's first single drops.
