Katy Perry announces new album's name and release date

It's been over two years since she released an album, but now Katy Perry's fans don't have much longer to wait for new music!
On Monday (July 29), Tarek Chamma, a friend of the "Teenage Dream" songstress, posted a photo to her Instagram account which shows a gold semi with the words, "KATY PERRY • PRISM • 10•22•13" written on the side with the caption, "My girl's new album is announced."

Confirming the news to her fans and giving them a chance to interact, Perry tweeted, "Find the #PRISM semi, take a picture and I'll RT you. Don't worry, Los Angeles is just the first stop on the map."
Although we don't have too much more information on specifics of the album, it is suspected that the lead single will be called "Rainbow."
