Over 160 Idols Including EXO, BEAST, Infinite, miss A, Participate in the 2013 Idol Athletic Championships

It’s that special time of year where hundreds of K-Pop’s hottest idol stars gather together in one big arena to display their athleticism, sportsmanship and hot-blooded young energy!

On September 3, top idol groups such as EXO, BEAST, A Pink, Infinite and ZE:Agathered together to film the “2013 Idol Athletic Championships,” which featured sports such as track and field, archery and mini-soccer.

Hosted by Jeon Hyun Moo, Kim Jae Dong, Defconn and Lee Ki Kwang, the seventh annual Idol Athletic Championships revealed the many different athletic skills that our favorite idols possess.

Around 160 idols participated in this year’s championships including groups likeSuper Junior-M, BEAST, Infinite, MBLAQ, ZE:A, Secret, B.A.P, BTOB, VIXX, Rainbow, Girl’s Day, A Pink, Dal Shabet, Teen Top, Tasty, B1A4, EXO, U-KISS, Crayon Pop, 2AM, miss A, A-JAX, 100% and more.

Idols were divided into four teams for the mini-soccer games. Team A consists of 2AM’s Seulong and Changmin; B1A4′s Jinyoung, Baro and Gongchan;100%’s Sanghoon; A-JAX’s Seung Yup and Goo Ja Myung. Team B consists of EXO’s Luhan, Xiumin, Suho and Baekhyun; Infinite’s Hoya and Woohyun; Tasty’s Soryong; and Shorry J. Team C consists of ZE:A’s Kim Dong Jun, Ha Min Woo, and Kim Tae Heon; U-KISS’ Soohyun and Kiseop; VIXX’s N and Leo, and Son Jin Young. Team D consists of BEAST’s Yoon Doo Joon, Lee Ki Kwang and Yang Yo Seob; BTOB’s Eunkwang; B.A.P’s Bang Yong Guk, Young Jae and Zelo; and Roh Ji Hoon.

At the same time, archery and track competitions were held as well.

Although some idols weren’t able to make it, such as U-KISS’ Dongho, some of the currently busiest idols such as Suzy, Park Hyung Shik, Jung Eun Ji and L attended the event.

Suzy even stood as the representative idol member along with ZE:A’s Kim Dong Jun and read the competition oath in front of her peers. She went on to compete in the archery games as well.

ZE:A′s Dong Jun, Si Wan and Min Woo Get Ready to Play Sports

ZE:A′s Dong Jun, Si Wan and Min Woo became sporty gentlemen in a sportswear spread.

Through a spread in Arena Homme+, the three idol members flaunted their masculinity.

The spread was dedicated to showcasing the new, modernized Fuma Disc Blazes, the ′Disc 2.0′.

Dong Jun sported a red zip-up hoodie with a red, gray and blue Disc 2.0, while Si Wan put on a white PK shirt, a zip-up hoodie and orange Disc 2.0s. Min Woo donned a sweatshirt with gray Disc 2.0s.

Park Hyung Shik and Lee Hyun Woo Are Handsome Autumn Men for “W Korea”

Two of Korea’s trending stars, ZE:A‘s Park Hyung Shik and actor Lee Hyun Woo got together for a photo shoot!

The two stars, who have left strong impressions on “Real Men” and “Secretly and Greatly,” have become handsome and preppy men for “W Korea” magazine, which released two cuts on August 19.

The photos show Park Hyung Shik and Lee Hyun Woo sporting items such as oxford shirts, thick knit sweaters, wool pants and other fall clothing.

During the interview, Park Hyung Shik commented, “I feel like an arrow that has just been released from the bow.” When he was asked, “Aren’t you feeling overwhelmed or flustered,” he answered, “I’m really happy. I don’t think I can do anything else. I will continue to sing and act so thatI can discover my new potentials. So I want to challenge myself without stopping.”

For Lee Hyun Woo’s interview, he was asked if he had any troubles or worries from transitioning to a child actor to an adult actor. He answered, “Not at all. Age is not important. I think it’s something that allows you to naturally pass to the next level as time goes by,” and “Instead of wanting to do just adult roles, I want to build up my filmography with projects and characters that I can portray the best.”

ZE:A to Return with All Nine with ‘Illusion’

Coming back together from its unit groups, ZE:A will be reuniting as nine once again with a new album.

On July 23, Star Empire Entertainment unveiled the first of the teasers of all nine members in a black and white photo. The word Illusion took over the top, revealing the new title of the album, while the bottom revealed the release date of August 9. 

ZE:A’s official Twitter also announced the upcoming title track, The Ghost of the Wind (Tentative Title), which will include hints of The Phantom of the Opera and the mystery fictional character, Arsene Lupin. The song will also showcase a 14-person orchestra. 

The album will be released on August 9

Super Junior Supports Korea’s Soccer Team, Shinhwa Alerts Concert Ticket Sale and More

SNSD’s Seohyun also shared a photo of her celebrity fans who came to the group’s concert via the group’s official homepage on June 12, writing “Introducing Seohyun’s friends! Meanwhile B2ST’s Du Jun had other things on his mind, when he tweeted a photo of himself with his friends on May 28 with the message, “It’s a little late, but here’s a shot of my friends and I playing soccer and eating.”

Super Junior’s Eunhyuk, who was recently swept up in marriage rumors with IU, tweeted a photo on May 28 with the message, “Ah, craving vegetable pancakes. Practice is strength held together.”

ZE:A's Kwanghee Takes a Vacation!

Recently on May 23, group ZE:A’s Kwanghee uploaded several photos of himself along with a message, “Cool.”

In the pictures is Kwanghee taking a well-deserved vacation. He appears to be enjoying the ocean on a boat as he poses for the camera naturally. With his bright smile and relaxed manner, Kwanghee looks like he is having a great time.

Netizens that saw these pictures commented, “Kwanghee looks even more handsome than before,” “Hope you have a great vacation,” “I hope to see you soon on variety shows,” “I have met Kwanghee in person, and he is a wonderful and polite person,” “Fighting.”

Im Siwan of ZE:A and his Pink obsession

Im Siwan of ZE:A’s unit group ZE:A Five shared some very interesting news! It looks like he wears pink underwear?!?! Im Siwan said the weird news on the cable channel MBC Music’s “All The K-Pop.” On the show, Im Siwan talked about his “obsession” with the color pink.

On “All The K-Pop” Im Siwan showed all of the things that he had which were all pink. The other members of ZE:A Five said, “Im Siwan’s underwear is also pink.” They then added, “He looks pretty and good looking so he looks great in pink.”

Well it looks as though Im Siwan isn’t the only member with a weird obsession. The member Dong Jun enjoys leopard patterns. The other ZE:A Five members stated, “He loves leopard patterns and is obsessed with it. However, he cannot wear a see-through leopard pattern underwear that he received from fans.”
