CN Blue to Act as Global Models for ′K-Food′

CN Blue will be spreading the goodness of Korean food to the world.
On June 17, CN Blue′s agency FNC Entertainment revealed that "CN Blue has been chosen to be the new honorary ambassador for the Korea Agro-Fisheries & Food Trade Corporation′s global brand ′K-Food.′"

In the recent commercial shoot for K-Food, the four CN Blue members displayed a wide assortment of Korean agricultural foods such as paprikas, mushrooms, red ginseng and milk.

Jung Yong Hwa commented, "I heard that Korean foods are often exported overseas, so I think I′ll feel more proud when I see K-Food outside of Korea."

The commercial will start airing in China, Hong Kong and Vietnam, as well as CNN, BBC and the National Geographic Channel, from mid-August.

The full clip will be made available through the official YouTube channel and Facebook page.

CNBlue member Jung Yong Hwa recently revealed a photo of himself, which drew attention and smiles from fans.

On June 14, Jung Yong Hwa wrote on CNBlue’s official Twitter account, “Everyone, this is Yong Hwa. I’m sorry. We leave for the Philippines tomorrow! We’re definitely looking forward to it! Everyone is doing well, right? Please wait a little while we go and return~ everyone scream~ I apologize once again! Have a good night! CNBlue’s Lee Jung Shin Transforms into a Romantic Assassin for “Sword and Flower”

CNBlue‘s bassist Lee Jung Shin has been cast in his second drama after the national hit, “My Daughter, Seoyoung.” He joins Uhm Tae Woong and Kim Ok Bin in the upcoming KBS drama, “Sword and Flower.”

Lee Jung Shin will play the role of martial artist Si Woo. Si Woo is a “pure” character who is normally charismatic but is infinitely romantic to his beloved Mu Young, daughter of King Young Ryu and played by Kim Ok Bin. He protects her like a shadow and has only loved her his whole life. He spent his childhood as a orphan roaming the streets but was later picked by the leader of King Young Ryu’s secret organization (called Geum Hwa Dan). Si Woo grows up to a skilled martial artist and possessing a straightforward personality and an eye for artistic beauty. 

The stills released show Lee Jung Shin is his role, sporting long hair and holding a fan. His character, Si Woo,  is described as a “romantic assassin.”

Lee Jung Shin’s rival in love is played by Uhm Tae Woong, who takes on the role of Yeon Choong, the son of the concubine of Yeon Gaesomun. Yeon Gaesomun is real-life historical figure who was a powerful and controversial military leader during the Goguryeo dynasty.

“Sword and Flower” is directed by Kim Yong Soo, who also led Uhm Tae Woong’s previous drama, “Equator Man.” It premieres July 3.

FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki Apologizes for Exposing CN Blue Lee Jong Hyun’s Ear Plastic Surgery

There was a time when FT Island’s Lee Hong Ki blurted out that CN Blue’s Lee Jong Hyun received plastic surgery, and now he’s apologizing for it.

On May 23, Lee Hong Ki appeared on MBC’s Radio Star, where the MCs brought up the time when Lee Hong Gi announced on air that Lee Jong Hyun received ear plastic surgery.

Looking apologetic, Lee Hong Ki said, “I’m really sorry.”

It all started when FT Island appeared on MBC Music’s All the Kpop and answered that none of the CN Blue and FT Island members received plastic surgery. Then Lee Hong Ki said that Lee Jong Hyun received ear plastic surgery. 

Back on Radio Star, Lee Hong Ki said, “I had this confidence that FT Island and CN Blue didn’t do any plastic surgery and thought differently about ear plastic surgery. I didn’t realize it could have been a major insecurity for Jong Hyun.”

Lee Hong Ki added that Lee Jong Hyun messaged him, saying, “Kekekeke. What did you say that!?” Lee Hong Ki also said that Lee Jong Hyun’s father was especially upset over the exposed secret and the singer apologized to Lee Jong Hyun’s father on the show and promised to be more careful in the future.

CN Blue, FT Island, AOA and More Drop By to Watch Lee Hong Ki′s Film

Lee Hong Ki may have been nervous about his first lead role in a feature film, but he still had his agency label mates to back him up in his time of need.

The VIP preview for Passionate Goodbyewas held in Seoul on May 21. At the preview, the rest of FT Island as well as CN Blue, Juniel, AOA, actress Yoon Jin Seo and Cha Soo Min appeared to show their support for Lee Hong Ki.

Lee Hong Ki said about the crowd of friends, "I′m more nervous than I am for our albums. I didn′t get much sleep because I was so tense, but I′m so thankful that my agency label mates came in to support me like this."

Choi Jong Hoon, a fellow member, said after watching the film, "I think it′s a film with a lot of messages. I related to the film as a public figure, and I learned a lot. I thought I should work hard with a thankful heart. I hope many feel healed after watching this film."

"It was so touching," CN Blue′s leader Jung Yong Hwa said about the film. "There were some scenes that had me choking, but all in all I was so touched. I was surprised at [Lee] Hong Ki′s debut film, and I hope ′Passionate Goodbye′ does well. I will continue to support him."

Kang Min Hyuk, drummer of CN Blue, said, "I shed hot and passionate tears like the title Passionate Goodbye implies. It was so touching."

Juniel said, "I tried hard not to break down in tears. Go, Passionate Goodbye!" while AOA leader Jimin said, "I was able to feel thankful for my own life. It was so much fun."

Passionate Goodbye will premiere in Korea on May 30. It is lined up for a premiere in Japan on June 7 under the title Phoenix, the Song of Promise.
