Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon and Yuri Show Support for Shinhwa

On August 3rd, Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and Yuri made surprise appearances as concert attendees at Shinhwa’s ‘2013 SHINHWA Grand Tour THE CLASSIC‘ Seoul finale concert!

Shinhwa’s Minwoo shared a picture with the two girls backstage on his Facebook, writing, ”Taeyeon and Yuri came and supported Shinhwa’s 15th anniversary finale concert~^^ Thank you to my kind and loyal dongsengs~ I will go to Girls’ Generation’s concert next time♥ Thanks for the birthday present, Yuri^^hehe.”

During the concert, Taeyeon also uploaded a short, 15-second video of the cheering crowd on her Instagram, along with: “I’m excited! Anticipation, anticipation! #ShinhwaChanjo.” In the video, Taeyeon and Yuri could be heard chanting along with the rest of the fans!

Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo to Host Birthday Party at a Club

Legendary idol group Shinhwa‘s Lee Min Woo will be celebrating his birthday with a special party on August 28.

The singer will celebrate his 34th birthday and the launching of his hat line, “Wolf-M” at a club in Gangnam. The event will be called “Wolf-M Party.” Lee Min Woo has been working with the popular hat brand since its creation in 2007. 100 new specially designed hats will be revealed during the event. The hats were designed in a special collaboration between Wolf-M and designer Lee Joo Young, whose brand “Resurrection” is popular with artists such as Lady Gaga and Black Eyed Peas.

Lee Min Woo’s fellow Shinhwa members and other celebrity friends are expected to attend. In addition, 600 lucky winners will be drawn out of a lottery to attend the event. Lee Min Woo will be greeting guests and introducing the brand. 

In related news, Shinhwa will also be holding their “2013 Shinhwa Grand Finale ‘The Classic‘” concert in Seoul on August 3 and 4.

Lee Min Woo, Yuri, and Hyoyeon to Join “Dancing 9″ as Dance Masters

Shinhwa‘s Lee Min Woo and Girls’ Generation‘s Hyoyeon and Yuri will join the dancing survival show “Dancing 9” as dance masters. 

A representative of “Dancing 9″ said, “Lee Min Woo, Hyoyeon, and Yuri will appear on the show as K-Pop dance masters…With experience in domestic and international stage experience, they will be a great help to the ‘Dancing 9′ candidates.” 

The three will join dance sport professional Park Ji Woo, B-boy Ducky (Kim Duk Hyun), entertainer Poppin J to complete the cast for “Dancing 9.” These dance masters will divide into groups and offer coaching to the contestants.

Lee Min Woo shared about his excitement for the program. “In my fifteen years in Shinhwa I have sensed that dance goes beyond language, age, and gender…as someone who loved dancing even before becoming a singer, I am excited to meet many people who will take on the dance challenges.”

Hyoyeon and Yuri were also excited to work with the contestants on the show. “We want to share our knowledge on passion, talent, stage presence, and teamwork to the contestants.”

“Dancing 9” is the ultimate global dance survival program. Dancers from all over the world will be flown to Korean to participate. The competition will ultimately pare down the number of aspiring dancers to 18, splitting them into two teams of nine, and then choosing one team as the winner.  The winning team will receive $500,000 in value rewards, and the MVP member of the team will receive the fulfillment of a wish – such as tuition to a dance school.
