U-Kiss Heads Out for South America Tour

Ready to greet their fans from the other side of the globe, U-Kiss headed off to South America to fulfill its South America tour.

On June 19, NH Media announced that U-Kiss will be holding concerts in three different countries in South America. The group will be in Peru on June 21, Colombia on June 23, and Mexico on June 28.

“To repay the fans for all of their support, we decided to hold an exclusive tour in Peru, Colombia, and Mexico,” said NH Media. “As it’s not a place we can visit often, we will return after spending a meaningful time with fans in South America.”

In May of 2012, U-Kiss participated in South America’s biggest music festival, Evento 40 in Bogota, Colombia, receiving positive responses from the audience.

U-Kiss left through Incheon International Airport on June 19. The group will return to Korea on June 30.

U-KISS Credit Card to be Issued in Japan

On June 14, a representative of group U-KISS announced that U-KISS Visa card will be available in Japan via Sumitomo Mitsui Bank Corporation, which is one of the three major banks in Japan.

Both sides of this special visa card will show pictures of U-KISS. In addition, card holders will be able to accumulate points, which can be used to receive U-KISS related products.

Sumitomo Mitsui Bank has so far saw great success with visa cards featuring Japanese stars including Dreams Come True, Eikichi Yazawa, X-Japan’s Yoshiki, and L’Arc en Ciel. U-KISS will be the first from the K-pop world to release this specially made card.

Meanwhile, U-KISS is currently preparing for the upcoming South America tour in June and Japan tour in July.

Making its debut as a unit group, uBEAT released its first music video for Should Have Treated You Better.

On April 22, U-Kiss’ first unit group, uBEAT, featuring Eli, AJ, and a special featuring by Kevin, released its first mini album, Should Have Treated You Better, but the music video was not released until April 29.

In Should Have Treated You Better, the uBEAT members regret not treating their past lovers better while they were still in a healthy relationship.

uBEAT made its debut stage at Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN: Nihao-Taiwan on April 24.

uBeat to Debut on ‘M COUNTDOWN: Nihao-Taiwan’

U-Kiss’ first ever unit group, uBeat will be making its debut on Mnet’s M COUNTDOWN: Nihao-Taiwan.

On April 25, uBeat will unveil itself on the global stage through M COUNTDOWN, which will take place in Taiwan.

“We’ll be holding our first stage not in Korea, but the global stage, so we’re very nervous,” said Eli and AJ. “But because we already have experience abroad as U-Kiss, we’re confident in making a perfect stage.”

uBeat consists of AJ and Eli, with a special featuring by Kevin. The group will debut with a song, Should’ve Done Better(tentative English title) by Brave Brothers. The song will be released on April 22.

uBeat also revealed its first teaser photos for the upcoming album on April 17.

U-KISS’ First Unit Group uBEAT to Debut in Late April!

U-KISS created a unit group for the first time after their debut. According to U-KISS’ agency NH Media on April 8, “U-KISS first unit group ‘uBEAT’ will debut at the end of April. They will begin their new activities then.”

The name “uBeat” is a combination of U-Kiss and the word “Beat.” The reason that they chose this name is that they will captivate the masses with new songs that have U-Kiss’ own beat. The main members will be Eli and AJ, while the vocalist member Kevin will be featured in their upcoming single.  

The members Soohyun, Kevin, and Dongho of U-KISS appeared in the March 30 episode of “Immortal Song 2.” That was their first week and they covered the trot song “Ddaeng Bul” form the artist Kang Jin.

U-Kiss’ Dong Ho Talks about Idol Life

It’s only been a little over a month since he graduated, but U-Kiss’ Dong Ho is taking his alumnus status seriously and returning to his high school to lecture.

According to NH Media, Dong Ho will be returning to Hanlim Multi Art School on March 26 to hold a special lecture titled,’ To live as an idol of South Korea.’

“Due to an invitation from the school, Dong Ho will be holding a special lecture. Dong Ho was very shy about the fact that he’ll be standing front of his juniors to lecture,” said his agency. “Dong Ho decided to take on the offer to share his personal experiences so that he could be even of a little help to his juniors who are dreaming of becoming a singer.”

The lecture is expected to last for an hour.

U-Kiss recently returned to the spotlight with new single Standing Still, but today is all about Eli as it′s his birthday.
