Super Junior's Choi Siwon Nickname Is “ BoA’s Manager ”

On the latest episode of SBS‘s “Thank You” that aired on August 9, singer BoA and actors Son Hyun Joo and Moon Jung Hee embarked on a special retreat. On that day, BoA invited close friend and Super Junior member Choi Siwon to join her on her retreat. 

Regarding his invite, Choi Siwon shared, “When others see BoA, they might get the impression that she is very strong. However, when you get to know her, she has her vulnerable side too, and she’s also the type that needs someone to protect and look after her. Sometimes I get referred to as ‘BoA’s manager.’” 

BoA also chimed in saying, “There was this one time I told Choi Siwon about something that was making me depressed, and he brought me something in a black plastic bag. Inside were firecrackers. That night, we shot off firecrackers together to lift my spirits.”

Upon hearing about their close friendship, Moon Jung Hee teased them saying, “Is that something you do as friends?” Choi Siwon replied, “Yeah, people always doubt that we’re only friends. But that’s all we are.” 

Netizens commented, “Aw, BoA must have been touched by Choi Siwon’s gesture” and “BoA and Choi Siwon seem like great friends.”

Son Hyun Joo Gets BoA on the Phone with Song Joong Ki

An avid drama lover and a huge fan of Song Joong Ki, BoA became the biggest fangirl on a recent episode of SBS’ Thank You when she got the opportunity to speak with the actor.

In a recent filming of Thank You, BoA met up with talented actor, Son Hyun Joo, calling up friends that they would like to see. Some of the people they called included Zo In Sung, Yoo Hae Jin, Super Junior’s Choi Si Won, Moon Jung Hee and more. 

The two were quite surprised to see that they had a lot of mutual friends despite generation gaps and differences in occupation. 

As they called their friends, Son Hyun Joo asked which actor BoA likes.

The singer honestly replied that she likes Song Joong Ki, an actor that she has previously become excited over while watching Nice Man. 

To her surprise, Son Hyun Joo said that he was actually very close to Song Joong Ki and allowed BoA to talk with him on the phone. 

BoA and Song Joong Ki’s conversation will be revealed on August 2.

BoA to Go Against SNSD in Japan with New Single

BoA will be making a return in Japan with another new song in June.
According to Avex, BoA′s next single albumTail of Hope will be released on June 26. The title song Tail of Hope is a bouncy dance piece that was recently chosen as the theme song for a Fuji TV drama.

With the announcement from Avex came a jacket image showing BoA smiling at a blue sky. The album will contain Tail of Hope and Baby You, the Japanese version of Disturbance.

The release is especially drawing interest as it will pitch BoA against Girls′ Generation (SNSD). Both teams will release dance singles fit for summer around the same time. SNSD′s album Love & Girls will be released on June 19, a week before BoA′s.

BoA will next hold concerts in Daegu and Busan on May 25 and June 1.
