Taking time away from "The X Factor" judging table, Kelly Rowland soaked up the spotlight by covering the October 2013 issue of Shape magazine.
The former Destiny's Child songstress showed off her flawless figure for the front page while opening up about her very personal single "Dirty Laundry" and revealed why she wants to help others on the Fox show.
On her "X Factor" gig: "There are so many people who have given me wonderful guidance over the years. I can't keep information the might be helpful to others to myself."
On the meaning behind "Dirty Laundry"
"When I was writing [the song], I thought my story of abuse was too personal to share, but my manager reminded that so many women are in similar situations - and that as an artist I'm supposed to be vulnerable."
On her workout regime:
"I work out five or six times a week. I feel better, look better, sleep better. As I'm getting older, the Rowland family trait for having bigger bottoms is taking its toll on my hips and butt. The other day, [my trainer] had me doing squats that were so hard I wanted to kill her. But my behind is getting higher and tighter. Exercise really does change your body."

Kelly Rowland covers Essence magazine

There's been constant speculation on whether or not she was referring to Beyoncé Knowles in her new single "Talk A Good Game" and now Kelly Rowland clears the air in the September 2013 issue of Essence magazine.
While flashing her gorgeous smile for the front page spread, the 32-year-old singer dished about her former Destiny Child bandmate and the recent rumors regarding her tune.

On Beyoncé:
"For a long time I wasn't happy, but that had nothing to do with Beyoncé. That had to with me trying to get my life in order and make better decisions for myself. I'm seeing all these wonderful things happen for her and I am happy for her. But I want a path. I want things to pop off for me, too. Not on her level but whatever my level is supposed to be."
On her love for boxing :
"I see the beauty in boxing. It teaches me strength, physically but mentally. I had to learn my strength, because for so long I could have been tougher than I was."

Kelly Rowland has unveiled a sultry new look in the video for her single Dirty Laundry.
The 32-year-old star positively sizzles in the atmospheric video which opens with the star curled up in a rippling purple pool wearing a plunging black bathing suit.
She later wears a sheer white dress and towering heels, showing off her stunning figure on a backlit stage.

Kelly Rowland rescued at sea while whale watching

There was a little more excitement than anyone bargained for on Kelly Rowland's whale watching trip off the coast of Cape Cod Friday. The boat got lost due to high winds and the star and a small group of friends had to be rescued at sea.
Luckily, no one was hurt after the rented private boat became "disoriented in the gusty winds and high seas along with the haze which lowered visibility," according to a local news report.
After things got rough, the group contacted the Coast Guard and TowBoat US escorted their boat back to Provincetown, Mass. around 10:30pm. "All were wet and tired — and probably seasick — but otherwise unharmed," the report continued.
The former Destiny's Child singer was apparently seen shopping in the same area Saturday, so she probably wasn't too traumatized from Friday's harrowing ride.

The X Factor has found its 2013 replacements for judges Britney Spears and L.A. Reid.
Former Destiny's Child star Kelly Rowland and Mexican pop idol Paulina Rubio are said to be joining Simon Cowell and fan favourite Demi Lovato next season.
The two singers are in final negotiations and are expected to officially sign on in the next few days.
