Taylor Swift opens education center in Nashville

Hoping to inspire young musicians everywhere, Taylor Swift opened a $4 million education center on Saturday (October 12) in Nashville.
Housed at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum as part of their expansion, the center offers up classroom space, instruments and other activities for youngsters visiting the landmark.
Thrilled to be able to help out, the 23-year-old songstress told reporters “I’m really excited about this music education center and the fact that right now they have three different classes going on today. It’s really exciting that we can be here on a day when they’re not only unveiling it, but they’re starting to actively use it today.”
Fully intending to be a presence at the space, she continued, ”We’ve been talking about different programs I can be involved in.”

Taylor Swift covers InStyle magazine

Taylor Swift shows off her green side on the cover of InStyle magazine’s November 2013 issue.
Here’s what the 23-year-old singer had to share with the mag:
On whether she’s ever been in love: “I think that you can love people without it being the great love. Ed [Sheeran] said something that really resonated with me. He says there are different kinds of love: There’s physical attraction, mental attraction, and emotional attraction; there’s also comfort and obsession. You need to have all of those things in one person. You have to mentally respect them, be physically attracted, and have a comfort level. You’re obsessed with them, yet you also know they’re going to stay. I’ve never had that in one person.”
On her perfect guy: “My friends tease me about the fact that if someone seems bad or shady or like they have a secret, I find them incredibly interesting. That’s just a phase I’ve been in lately. I don’t think this should be how I proceed in life. It’s important to be self-aware about these things because you don’t want to end up with that guy.”
On insecurities: “Every single part of me has been dissected at some point or another by a blog writer or a 14-year-old girl on a comments page who says something really terrible. Or someone in middle school who points out [fakes a mean girl voice], ‘You have little eyes.’”

Taylor Swift covers Glamour UK magazine

She's had a bought of bad relationships, but that hasn't stopped Taylor Swift from continuing to search for Mr. Perfect.
In the November 2013 issue of Glamour UK, the "Love Story" songstress opens up about finding love and even shared her opinion of Miley Cyrus.
On relationships: "Here's what I've learned about deal-breakers. If you have enough natural chemistry with someone, you overlook every single thing that you said would break the deal."
On forgiving cheaters:
"I've seen my friends take someone back after they've cheated because they fit perfectly. But I don't know, because I've never had a perfect fit with someone."
On relationships with celebs:
"You can say, 'I'm never gonna date a high-profile person in the arts!' But whoever i date, famous or not - whether I ever date again - all chaos will break loose. With fabrication and frantic obsession and who likes who more and who it ended. But right now is easy because I'm single and happy, and it's very relaxing."
On Miley Cyrus:
"There's room for role models who make mistakes. There's clearly room for role models who are made fun of at award shows, but that I necessarily enjoy being poked fun at! But that's gonna happen to them too. Whether in a board meeting or in school or on Facebook, where they'll get humiliated publicly. And if I can say, 'Yeah, I've taken a few hits over the years and I'm still going, I'm still happy!' maybe that's an example. It's not just about standing on top of a mountain with the wind blowing in your hair, looking fabulous."
On avoiding the tabloids:
"I never read one hateful thing said about me by some 12 year old. So I got to live an actual life. And I've kept that mentality. Just because there's a hurricane going on around you doesn't mean you have to open the window and look at it. You can be obsessed with bad things people say and the good things, either way you're obsessed with yourself and I'm not - you can become unhinged so easily. Vanity can apply to both insecurity and egotism. So I distance myself, because I feel everything. The little I am exposed to hurts my feelings. The only things I can really control are my songs and my behavior. The rest? If I focused on it, that would lead to insanity."

Taylor Swift will reportedly star in The Giver movie

Taylor Swift has been cast in The Giver, which is based on the beloved children's novel by Lois Lowry. On Friday, the Weinstein Company made the surprising announcement that the country star had been tapped to play Rosemary, the last teen mentored by The Giver (played by Jeff Bridges) before he takes on Jonas (Brenton Thwaites).
Meryl Streep will play the Chief Elder, while Katie Holmes and Alexander Skarsgard have have snagged the role as Jonas' parents.

Eager to show off their latest film, the stars of “Romeo & Juliet” walked the red carpet at its Hollywood premiere on Tuesday (September 24).
Handsome in suits and ties, Ed Westwick and Douglas Booth posed for pictures with their lovely co-star Hailee Steinfeld, who rocked a black and white frock with just a dash of blue in it.
Also on hand for the evening was Taylor Swift, who graced the arrivals area in a knee length cream colored dress with floral accents.
The romantic drama, based on the famous play of the same name, arrives in theaters nationwide on October 11.

Taylor Swift supports One Chance at Toronto International Film Festival

She doesn’t appear in the film, but Taylor Swift still managed to steal the spotlight at the One Chance premiere on Monday as part of the Toronto International Film Festival.
Taylor was there to support the movie because she has a song in it, but all eyes were on her rather than the film’s stars.
The 23-year-old flashed the flesh in a slinky white dress with cut-out sides and back, which clung to her every curve.
Taylor also posed for some portraits with the stars of the movie, James Corden, Alexandra and Valeria.
James plays Paul Potts in the film, which is based on his rise to fame thanks to winning Britain’s Got Talent.

Accepting an award at MTV VMAs on Sunday, Taylor Swift appeared to make fun of her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles.
And while Harry has tried to remain polite when regards his high-profile ex, his One Direction bandmates have defended him.
Liam Payne, 19, hit out at the blonde singer, claiming her speech thanking the ex who 'inspired' her hit song I Knew You Were Trouble was 'not needed'.
Speaking to Us Weekly at the New York premiere of 1D's film This Is Us, Liam said: 'I just thought it was a bit not needed.
'I mean, you just won an award, it's like, concentrate on yourself.'
When asked if he thought Taylor's behaviour was 'lame', he replied: 'Yeah.'

Harry Styles and Taylor Swift reunite at 2013 VMA after party

Taylor Swift and her ex-boyfriend Harry Styles reunite while attending a party together following the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday evening (August 25) at the SoHo Grand Hotel Club Room in New York City.
The 23-year-old singer and the 19-year-old One Direction heartthrob were joined at the party by mutual friend Ed Sheeran.
“Hosting the VMA after party @grandlifehotels With Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran & Harry Styles,” Instagram user @spikyphil said.
During the show, Taylor won the award for Best Female Video for “I Knew You Were Trouble” and she made a dig at the man who inspired the song. Many people believe that person is Harry.
