The day before, he tweeted a picturesque photo with his costar Shin Se Kyung, writing “When a man plays under cherry blossoms.”

Actor Lee Joon Gi tweeted a photo of his pups on April 30, writing “The whole world will be yours~^^J & K.”

G-Dragon posted a photo on his Instagram from his concert in Osaka on April 29, writing “ONE OF A KIND WORLD TOUR IN JAPAN #OSAKA #BOSS #HOMIE #CREW.”

Comedian Kim Won Hyo tweeted a photo of SHINee’s Minho and 2AM’s Jung Jin Woon sandwiched among ajummas from the set of Mamma Mia, writing “Today was a fun day of filming for Mamma Mia! But Jin Woon and Minho are practically Mapado level.”

Mapado is a 2007 comedy about a man who is stranded on an island with five abusive old women.

Lee Joon Gi to Celebrate Birthday with Fans from Around the World

Lee Joon Gi will be inviting fans from around the world to celebrate his birthday together.

On April 14, the actor will hold a birthday party and fanmeeting under the title Let′s Go! Birthday Party in Seoul.

Lee Joon Gi is known to hold fanmeetings every year for his birthday, which is on April 17, and tickets this year were again promptly sold out in just one minute after they were made available on April 1.

A rep from the actor′s agency IMX said, "Many fans from over 10 countries around the world, including Japan, China and Hong Kong, have applied to attend the event. The first part of the show will have Lee Joon Gi talk with his fans, while the second part will be in concert form."

As Lee Joon Gi always shows off a new side of himself every year at his birthday party, fans are looking forward to what else he will have to show this year.

Lee Joon Gi most recently proved his popularity in Japan on April 1, when soon after he set up his account in Ameba, a Japanese social network, he ranked no. 1 on its Korean celebrity chart.

"I set up a Japanese social network account because I wanted to converse more freely with my fans in Japan," he said about the reason he reached out to this service.

The actor is currently looking through scenarios to choose the piece to follow his role in MBC′s Arang and the Magistrate.

Happy Independence Movement Day, Korea! The stars took to the Twitterverse today to celebrate the national holiday as well as to spread some cheer with cute selcas.

2AM’s Jo Kwon was among the many stars who tweeted an image of the Korean flag like the one above on March 1.

The 2AM leader tweeted a simple, “Today is 3.1,” referring to Korea’s Independence Movement Day along with the image, while Wonder Girls’ Yubin tweeted, “Today is 3.1!! Instead of thinking of it as just another holiday, why don’t we meditate on the meaning behind Independence Movement Day, be thankful and have patriotic hearts once again??^^.”
