The Carrie diaries reaches high ratings

Mixed bag: The show received largely tepid reviews from TV critics following its release
It made its premiere last month and it seems audiences have been charmed by The Carrie Diaries.
The series reached a season high in ratings for Monday night’s episode.
The Sex and the City prequel drew in 1.55million viewers, up two-tenths of a point and 12 per cent week to week in total viewers.

It was the airing of the fourth episode in the series, which stars AnnaSophia Robb as a young Carrie Bradshaw and Austin Butler as her love interest.
And The Carrie Diaries wasn’t the only show to be drawing in audiences on Monday.
The Carrie Diaries is an American teen drama television series on The CW. It is a prequel to the HBO television series Sex and the City and based on the book of the same name by Candace Bushnell. The first season of the show focuses on Carrie Bradshaw during her junior year of high school in 1984, and she explores life in New York while interning at a law office. On May 11, 2012, the pilot was picked up by The CW to series and premiered on January 14, 2013.
