The still cuts are from the upcoming tvN drama “Dating Agency: Cyrano.” The highly anticipated drama will have its first broadcast on May 27, 11pm. (KST) Sooyoung’s stills show her infiltrating a high school for a “dating mission” and disguising herself as a high school student!

Sooyoung will play the role of the hopeless romantic “Gong Min Young.” In the picture, you can see that Sooyoung’s character has a different name that reads “Seo Min Young.”

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung Changes Her Style for “Cyrano”

Girls’ Generation‘s Sooyoung, whom fans are used to seeing in trendy and ornate outfits on stage, has changed her style for her role in the upcoming drama “Dating Agency: Cyrano.”

On May 12, producers of the drama released pictures of Sooyoung in her role as Gong Min Young, who is described as a bright romanticist. The pictures show Sooyoung looking like a normal office worker instead of the charismatic and sexy image Sooyoung has onstage.

According to the producers, Sooyoung is showing a lot of affection for her role and is paying careful attention to every single detail from acting to styling for her character. Producer Kim Hee Jun said, “It is not just the outfits only but she also seems to have completely become the character in her acting. I think viewers will be able to see her upgraded acting in this drama.”

“Dating Agency: Cyrano” is a drama centered on a dating agency that helps people awkward in love. It is slated to be a 16-episode drama and will premier May 27 on tvN.

Returning to the small screen with another drama, Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung talked a little bit about her drama character, Gong Min Young.On May 8, tvN released a character analysis of Gong Min Young in the drama Cyrano Agency. “She’s very direct, popular, and a pro at romance,” explained Sooyoung excitedly. Unfortunately for the SNSD member, the notes on the side actually described her character as the exact opposite.

Girls’ Generation’s Sooyoung and Seohyun Go Back to School for “High Cut”

Girls’ Generation members Sooyoung and Seohyun recently appeared on the photo shoot spread of “High Cut” magazine as sweet female college students. They also gave a brief interview with the magazine as well.

When Sooyoung was asked, “How do you feel about people calling your legs,’chopstick’ legs?” she replied, “Although I appreciate being recognized for being slim, I honestly wish I could gain some weight. I wish I had healthier legs.” When asked to show some aegyo, she said, “If I happen to find the person I love, I’ll gladly show aegyo. But until then, noway.” 

When the two girls were asked, “Which SM artist do you think would’ve thrived in a different occupation?” Seohyun answered, “Super Junior‘s Siwon, because out of the entire SM family he is famous for behaving and dressing like a politician. The nickname just stuck because of his gentle manners and the way suits flatter him.” As for which SM Entertainment member would be the best secret agent, Sooyoung nominated Lee Yeon Hee because, “She’s physically fit and she seems like she can keep a secret because she’s usually reserved. Plus, she has a pretty face and you wouldn’t suspect she was an agent.”

Girls’ Generation’s Yuri and Sooyoung Cover for “The Star”

Girls’ Generation‘s Yuri and Sooyoung recently graced the cover of “The Star” magazine with their sparkling beauty.

The photo shoot for this magazine cover was held on April 1 where both Yuri and Sooyoung glowed with their fairy-tale-like charms.

The photo shoot took six hours to complete and it is reported that Yuri and Sooyoung had a fiery but friendly spirit of competition as they both posed to their best abilities. Staff members were impressed with each of their poses and interpretations of the concept of the shoot.

Despite their busy schedules with various events and Japanese tours, it is said that Yuri and Sooyoung gladly accepted the offer to be the model of “The Star.”

Originally, the cover of the magazine was supposed to be a photo of Yuri and Sooyoung posing together. However, after much thought, the magazine decided to release three different versions of the cover by adding Yuri and Sooyoung’s individual covers as well.

Lee Chun Hee to Join with SNSD′s Sooyoung in tvN′s ′Cyrano Agency′

Lee Chun Hee has been cast as the lead of tvN′s upcoming drama Cyrano Agency.
Through an official press release on April 3, tvN announced that "Lee Chun Hee will be taking up the role of the attractive chef with a hidden past, Seung Pyo. He will be transforming into a good-looking chef."

The drama also stars Lee Jong Hyuk and Girls′ Generation (SNSD)′s Sooyoung.

Cha Seung Pyo, Lee Chun Hee′s role, is a chef that runs a small restaurant in the building next to the Agency, and is caught up in a monetary relationship with the Agency′s leader Byung Hoon (Lee Jong Hyuk) as well as a subtle love relationship with Min Young (Sooyoung).

Cyrano Agency is a drama based on the film of the same title, and will talk about whether love can be manipulated. The Agency will attempt to connect people who are clumsy at love to their matches, and in the process cover everything about love and relationships.

Lee Chun Hee said about his role, "He′s a character that always has a warm smile on his face but is frozen inside. I made the decision to appear as soon as I read the synopsis, and I believe it will be a new, more stylish kind of romantic comedy as well as a manual to love for all. I′m already looking forward to working with the other actors."

Cyrano Agency is the new romcom drama from Oh Boy Project, which previously produced such hit dramas as Cool Guys, Hot Ramen, Shut Up: Flower Boy Band and Flower Boys Next Door. It will air its first episode in late May.

SNSD′s Sooyoung and Jung Kyung Ho Deny Love Rumors

Girls′ Generation (SNSD)′s Sooyoung has had to deny what can be called her second love rumor of the year, as a certain media outlet most recently set her beside the actor Jung Kyung Ho.

A rep from SM Entertainment said about the rumors on February 27, "The two merely got to know each other through group meetings at church."

An official from Jung Kyung Ho′s agency Fantagio also commented that "it is true Jung Kyung Ho and Sooyoung became friends through a group they are both members of," but then added that "they are not lovers."

One media outlet had reported that day that Jung Kyung Ho and Sooyoung had entered a relationship at the beginning of the year.

According to the report, the two happened to meet each other after Jung Kyung Ho′s release from the army in September 2012, and emerged as lovers early 2013.

An interview Jung Kyung Ho gave while he had been serving his military duties, in which he had said, "SNSD gave me the most strength and energy during my service. I especially want to thank Ms. Sooyoung," cropped up as part of the evidence that showed there was something between them.

Jung Kyung Ho appeared in the SBS drama Smile, Love and the film Running Turtle. Following his release from the army he was cast as the lead for Ha Jung Woo′s first piece as a director, Roller Coaster.

Sooyoung currently hosts SBS′ One Night of TV Entertainment with Yoon Do Hyun.
