One Direction star Zayn Malik has thanked fans for their support after he was accused of cheating on his girlfriend, Little Mix star Perrie Edwards.

The 20-year-old has been keeping a low profile after reports alleged that he had cheated on Perrie with Australian waitress Courtney Webb, but today he took to his Twitter account to break his silence.

While declining to refer directly to the rumours, he thanked the loyal fans who have stood by him during the scandal, writing: ‘Hi everyone, just a quick message to say I love all you guys, without your support I don’t know what I’d do :) x’
