All grown up: The Twilight star is taking on more gritty, adult roles now that the vampire series has come to an end
He's wooed movie goers the world over with his mop of thick, curly hair and a deathly pale complexion in the Twilight franchise. But it seems Robert Pattinson has left his vampire alter ego firmly behind.
The actor was spotted looking rather grimy with a shaven head on the set of his new film The Rover in Australia.
The 26-year-old heartthrob was dressed in loose-fitting khaki trousers and a black T-shirt, covered in dust and dirt.The English actor was sporting a buzzcut, forgoing his signature tousled, messy hair.
Robert was filming a scene for the futuristic thriller in the South Flinders Ranges, a wine region in South Australia.
The actor stars alongside Guy Pearce as Reynolds, a member of a gang of thieves who gets left behind after a job goes awry.
The role is a departure for the English actor, who is famous for his role as vampire Edward Cullen in the wildly popular Twilight films.
