The multi-talented actor and singer No Min Woo has revealed on a recent recording of KBS2TV‘s “Global Request Show- A Song For You” that he almost went blind during a previous drama recording

KBS2TV’s “Global Request Show – A Song For You” is a new music request show featuring 2AM’s Jo Kwon as the MC. People from all over the world post their story and song request on the official Facebook page. These requests are then selected and a different celebrity appears every week to read out the stories and personally sing the song that has been requested. The guests for the first two episodes were boy group EXO and recently the program revealed that the guest for this week’s episode will be none other than the multi talented No Min Woo.

For this week’s episode, one of the stories that will be covered is about a girl from Finland that continues to live a bright and happy life despite disabilities in her hands. The story is said to have touched the heart of No Min Woo and the rest of the crew at the recording.

No Min Woo, touched by the story, revealed that he nearly lost his eye sight after injuring his eyes during a previous drama recording. He talked about the wave of emotions he felt back then and how he worried about not being able to play the guitar because he couldn’t see. He even revealed that because of this thought, he purposely begin to practice playing the guitar in total darkness to prepare for the unexpected. No Min Woo mentioned his own story because he respected the Finnish girl’s positivity and high spirits, even going as far to say that he wished to make a song for her.

No Min Woo Showcases Guitar Skills as “ICON” in “Rock Star” MV Teaser

Singer/actor No Min Woo, formerly part of SM Entertainment’s rock band, “TRAX,” has formed a three-man band to release a new single album called “Iconic Oh Disco ‘Rock Star’.” The band is composed of  drummer Monster, DJ Disco, and No Min Woo himself, taking up the stage name “ICON.”

For this album, No Min Woo took active participation in all parts, being a producer, vocalist, drummer, guitarist, bassist, composer, lyricist, and arranger, marking this album as truly his own musical style and expression.

ICON has released a teaser video for the track called “Rock Star” in which he shows off his nimble guitar skills and rhythm.

The single album, “Iconic Oh Disco ‘Rock Star’,” will be released July 1.

No Min Woo Forms New Band, Releases Teaser Image

Musician/actor No Min Woo created a buzz online recently for being “too pretty and too hot to be true,” and today he continues the trend with the release of a teaser image for his group’s upcoming single album.

No Min Woo, who was formerly part of SM Entertainment’s rock band, “TRAX,” is now part of a new three-member band. Icon is composed of drummer Monster, DJ Disco, and No Min Woo himself, taking up the stage name “Icon.”

Icon’s first single album will be released July 1 and with only six days left yesterday, No Min Woo released a D-6 teaser image that shows two very different sides of the multi-talented musician. In one image, he looks more innocent and boyish, while the other image shows No Min Woo heavily made-up in dark eye makeup. Either way, perhaps we can say, he still looks too pretty to be true.

For this album, No Min Woo took active participation in all parts, being a producer, vocalist, drummer, guitarist, bassist, composer, lyricist, and arranger.

No Min Woo to Release Exclusive Magazine in Japan

No Min Woo will be releasing his own magazine in Japan, cementing his status as hallyu star in the country.

On May 16, a Japanese media outlet reported, "No Min Woo, known for his role in the Korean drama Full House Take 2, will be releasing an exclusive photo book in Japan in July."

The photo book is actually a magazine that covers only news about No Min Woo. The first issue will be released on July 31, with more following every three months, to release four a year.

The magazine will contain pictures of No Min Woo as well as interviews about the issues fans are most curious about.

No Min Woo became even more popular in Japan as the drama Full House Take 2 aired through TBS, a main channel, in 2012. He even held a concert with thousands of fans successfully.

The fanmeeting he held in April 3 sold out all 5,000 seats in just a day, proving the immense popularity he enjoys.

No Min Woo is currently shooting a film with Choi Min Sik and Ryu Seung Ryong, and is preparing for a solo album to be released in May.
