Julianne Moore receives a Hollywood Walk of Fame star

She plays Chloe Moretz's pious, emotionally abusive mother in the upcoming Carrie remake.
But Julianne Moore couldn't have looked more pleased to see her co-star on Thursday.
The 52-year-old actress gave Chloe, 16, a big kiss as she received a star on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame in Los Angeles.
Julianne was also joined by her Don Jon costar and director Joseph Gordon Levitt, as well as her husband Bart Freundlich and children Cal, 15, and Liv, 11.

With her upcoming horror flick "Carrie" nearing its anticipated premiere, Julianne Moore graced the cover of InStyle magazine's October 2013 issue.
While donning a gorgeous green dress for the Giampaolo Sgura-shot front page, the "Hannibal" actress opened up about her life away from the cameras and her acting career.
On her personal life: "I feel very much in the middle of my life: being in a relationship for 17 years, having kids who are not babies anymore, living in the house we want to live in, and really enjoying the work I do."
On her advice to other parents:
"When your kids are young, they're always holding your hand. Then suddenly you turn around and it's not happening anymore. The days are long; but the years are short."
On her career since turning 50:
"I can't complain. I've been pretty lucky. And I think the more we talk about it, the more we make it real. I hate being asked this stuff! Let's appreciate where we are. Let's not wish our lives away."

Julianne Moore joins the cast of The Hunger Games: Mockingjay

The final book of the “Hunger Games” series will actually be split into two movies, and Julianne Moore is on board for both flicks.
According to a report, the “Boogie Night” actress will play President Alma Coin in “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1” and “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2,” and fans of the series are thrilled at the news.
Meanwhile, mainstays like Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson, Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, and Natalie Dormer will all come back for the pair of projects.
Per the synopsis, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Parts 1 & 2 make up the third and fourth installments of heroine Katniss Everdeen's journey as she leads the districts of Panem in a rebellion against the tyrannical and corrupt Capitol. As the war that will determine the fate of Panem escalates, Katniss must decipher for herself who she can trust and what needs to be done, with everything she cares for in the balance.”
