And Ashley Tisdale put that theory to the test on Wednesday, when she posed with her new engagement ring on full display at the InStyle Summer Soiree at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles.
Also decorating her arm was her fiance Christopher French - who looked equally delighted with his new status as an engaged man.
