TVXQ’s Yunho, Choi Daniel, Park Soo Jin and Others Create an “85 Line”

A group of celebrities born in the year of 1985 got together to form an “85 line.”

Recently, a post was made on an online community forum titled, “The Superior 85 Line,” which contained a couple of photos.

In the photos, same-aged celebrity friends born in 1985 such as TVXQ‘s Yunho(Yunho was born in 1986 but has an early birthday, which counts as 1985), Shin Ji Soo, Choi Daniel, Park Soo Jin, Wang Ji Hye and Kim Eun Sung are gathered together. This good-looking group of friends all smiled happily for the camera and looked like they were having a great time together.

Netizens who saw these photos commented, “The 85 line is so glamorous,” “They look good,” “I can’t believe Yunho and Choi Daniel are the same age,” and more.

Meanwhile, Yunho has been selected as a PR ambassador for the Gwangju Design Biennale, which will open in September. Choi Daniel will be coming back in a new drama “Expect Dating” in September along with BoA. Park Soo Jin is currently playing the role of Mo Seol in “Sword and Flower.”

TVXQ Heads a Successful Concert in Chile

Just a day after its performance in L.A., TVXQ (DBSK) flew to Chile′s Santiago to bring its wave of red to South America also.
On July 7 (local time), the TVXQ! Live World tour Catch Me in Santiago took place. Over 5,000 fans had gathered to watch the show

The duo sang its hits Catch Me, Rising Sun, Mirotic, Why, Before U Go and more, while U-know Yunho sang Honey Funny Bunny and Max Changmin sang Whenever Wherever Whatever alone.

The members had also prepared a few words in Spanish for their Spanish-speaking fans.

Fans sang along to the Korean lyrics while holding up their red lightsticks, shouted out "We are T" in unison and screamed out "We love you TVXQ" before the group′s encore performance.

After the concert, the members said, "We thank you for receiving us so passionately, and this was a precious time in which we could feel the passion of South America. Though we speak different languages, I could feel how you always support us, and we′ll make sure to repay you with better music and performances."

TVXQ will next perform on July 20 in Shanghai.

TVXQ′s Max Changmin Becomes a Bowling Expert with Practice

Though he′s become the laughingstock of Our Neighborhood′s Masters of Variety and Sports for his meager bowling skills, Max Changmin has shown he′s ready to break through his limits with a new high.

On June 7, the show′s producers released a photo showing Max Changmin′s new high score in bowling. The picture shows his score to be 203.

The 4 bagger (four consecutive strikes) he managed to score from frame 5 to 8 especially proves he′s going to emerge as a new dark horse in the episodes to come.

The record was made at a bowling alley in Japan.

"He′s been polishing his bowling skills even while he′s in Japan for his performances," the producers said.

In previous episodes, Max Changmin had continuously slipped and fell on the bowling lanes, making him the least skilled of his team.

The producers said about his new attitude, "Max Changmin has been so serious [about bowling] that it feels like lasers will come out of his eyes. Even the producers have been awed at how he practices bowling even when there aren′t any shoots or when he′s overseas. He′ll show the big change that′s come over him in the next game with the Incheon Dongchun-dong Heroes team."

Our Neighborhood′s Masters of Variety and Sports is a show that brings the panels of the show in a competition against ordinary people who enjoy sports.

TVXQ (DBSK) to Hold Los Angeles Concert for “Catch Me World Tour”

Great news for K-pop fans in California! Idol legend duo Dong Bang Shin Ki will be holding their first solo concert in the United States. 

The concert will be held in Los Angeles and be a part of Dong Bang Shin Ki’s “Catch Me Live World Tour.” The information was announced by special event company Powerhouse through their official Facebook. No other details have been released yet, but hopefully they will announce the date and exact location soon. No doubt American fans will snatch up this opportunity to watch the K-Pop veterans Yunho and Changmin live on stage.

TVXQ′s U-know Yunho Says He′s Not Ready for Marriage

U-know Yunho isn′t really ready to get married just yet.

In a recent interview with High Cut, when asked what he thought he would′ve been doing now if he had lived an ordinary life, he said, "I think I would′ve gotten married."

He added, "I wanted to get married around the age my parents did, but now it′s too late. Actually, I don′t think it′s time for me to get married yet. I′ll get married when I can take responsibility and I′m sure I′m ready."

About TVXQ (DBSK)′s promotions for its 10th anniversary, U-know Yunho said, "When you′re a senior you become really lonely, but I step out to pass out CDs to my juniors whenever we release a new album to break through that [loneliness]."

In the photo spread attached to the interview, U-know Yunho wrapped scarves around his eyes, neck, wrists, ankles and waist for a sexy look. He layered the scarves and mufflers on clothes from Louis Vuitton.

TVXQ's Yunho for “High Cut”

DBSK’s Yunho appeared in the May 16 issue of fashion magazine “High Cut.” The issue was number 102. In the photoshoot interview, Yunho talked about his appearance in “King of Ambition” (Yawang) and about his thoughts on marriage.

Yunho stated, “I think it was good fortune that I appeared in ‘King of Amibtion.’ At first all of the seniors only watched me, but after we got friendly they taught me a lot. Especially Kwon Sang Woo treated me like his own brother, so I relied on him a lot and was very comfortable.”

Yunho talked about how it has been 10 years since the debut of DBSK, “Once you become a senior in the music industry you probably end up lonely. In order to avoid that, I give out our new CDs to juniors in the waiting room whenever we come out with a new album.”

Yunho was asked, “What would you have done if you lived a normal life?” Yunho answered, “I think I would be married about now. Before, I wanted to be married at the age my parents were, however I am now past that age. If I am realistic, I believe it is not time to get married yet. I want to get married when I know for sure that I can take care of someone.”

TVXQ Releases MV for Japanese Single ′Ocean′

The music video for TVXQ (DBSK)′s new Japanese single Ocean was released on May 20.

The video, uploaded to Avex′s official YouTube channel, shows the TVXQ members playing around at a beach and a pool, as well as a cute and powerful dance routine. In some scenes the members even appear in suits to enjoy an outdoors party.

U-know Yunho said about the song, "It′s a song that everyone can enjoy together in the festival of summer," while Max Changmin said, "It′s a fun party song that everyone can bounce to. I want to get everyone to have fun with this song this summer."

The full single album Ocean will be released on June 12, but the song has already been drawing attention from local broadcasts. It has been chosen as the theme song for four popular variety shows in the country, and the track Wedding Dress will be the theme song for BeeTV′s drama Best Proposal.

In the meantime TVXQ will embark on its Japan dome tour with its TVXQ Live Tour 2013 ~Time~.

TVXQ Lands in Malaysia for Its World Tour

TVXQ continued its world tour in Malaysia with a successful concert.

On the evening of May 18 (local time), TVXQ peformed at Kuala Lumpur under the title TVXQ! Live World Tour ′Catch Me′. The concert continued the streak the group had been enjoying in Hong Kong and China.

The show kicked off with Rising Sun. The duo then went on to sing Catch Me, Humanoids, Why, Mirotic and other tracks from its new album. A total of 26 songs were performed, showcasing the group′s charismatic performances as well as many staggering stage effects.

The audience in return shook its pearl red light sticks during the show, once replacing the light sticks for purple ones during the group′s performance for Purple Line.

Fans had been showing their passion for the group ever since it stepped foot in the country, as crowds of fans welcomed the duo to Malaysia on May 17 from the airport. Local reporters also fought for media coverage on the press conference held before the concert.

TVXQ will next tour Japan for its TVXQ Live Tour 2013 ~Time~.

Super Junior’s Choi Siwon Appears on Broadcast without makeup

Super Junior member Choi Siwon appeared on television with no makeup, surprising viewers with his handsome bare and slightly scruffy face.

The May 7 episode of KBS’ “Our Neighborhood Sports” was specially themed, “I Want to See You, My Friend Who Plays Sports Well!” The MCs of the show, Kang Ho Dong, Lee Soo Geun, and Dong Bang Shin Ki‘s Changmin had to call out their friends who play sports well. Changmin called Choi Siwon and asked him to come over.

Choi Siwon came the filming location without knowing the show was being recorded. Changmin, who saw Choi Siwon’s bare face, apologized to his friend and Choi Siwon responded,”I went to work out but I came straight here after I got the phone call so I wasn’t able to put on makeup or shave.” Feeling awkward he added , “This is the first time I have appeared on television like this.”

Kang Ho Dong’s guest friend, Seo Jang Hoon complimented Choi Siwon, saying, “You still look handsome.”

TVXQ Poses in Shiny Jackets for the Great Outdoors

TVXQ (DBSK) showed it′s been doing fine through a recent shoot.

On April 22, U-know Yunho and Max Changmin were shown posing for LG Fashion′s outdoor brand Lafuma, donning the brand′s summer outdoor wear.

The two pose in shiny jackets of many different, bright colors matched with short pants for the hot weather to come. They emanate with manliness among pine trees and colorful backdrops, as they show they′re ready to take on any mountain that comes their way in tracking shoes and backpacks also.

Park Seul Ki, runner-up of Onstyle′s Challenge! Supermodel Korea, joined the two in her own outdoor outfit.

Like the pros they are, it is said that the TVXQ members led the mood on set for everyone.

TVXQ to Release a Summer Dance Song with 37th Single Album in Japan

TVXQ (DBSK) has announced it will be releasing its 37th single album in Japan.
On April 23, the group announced through its official Japanese webpage that "the single album Ocean will be released on June 12."
The album will be released in three versions, a CD+DVD version, a CD version and a BigEast (fanclub) version.The title song Ocean will be an addictive dance piece that will signify the coming of hot weather. Its coupled track,Wedding Dress, will be a medium-tempo song for a bride of June.

In the meantime, TVXQ will start off on its five-dome tour on April 27.

DBSK’s Changmin and Rainbow’s Jaekyung Awkwardly Play Stick Cookie Game

On the recent episode of KBS’s “Our Neighborhood’s Fine Arts and Physical Education,” which was aired on April 23, special training took place to increase players’ core strengths. The exercise included a set of sit-ups and sharing a stick cookie with the designated partner.

As DBSK’s Changmin and Rainbow’s Jaekyung played the game, it first appeared to resemble a scene from a love variety show. However, the reality was different. Startled by the approaching Changmin’s lips, Jaekyung dropped the cookie. Same thing happened several times, forcing Changmin to eat several large and dry cookies all by himself.

Afterward, Changmin could not even talk from all the cookies in his mouth and suffered from thirst making everyone laugh.

To this situation, MC Kang Ho Dong commented, “We hoped these two idols would develop romance from this game, but I think they now feel awkward with each other.”

TVXQ′s Max Changmin to be Awarded a Rookie Award from Japanese Movie Critics

Max Changmin scored another rookie award in Japan, this time with help from the critics.

On April 10, the Japan Movie Critics Awards Office announced the dates for its ceremony as well as its list of winners. Max Changmin could be found on the list, commended for his acting in the Japanese film Run with the Gold.

The award follows another rookie award he had previously won with the Japan Academy Awards.

The Japan Movie Critics Awards has met its 22nd year this year, and chooses its winners based on evaluations by local movie critics. The ceremony will be held in Tokyo on May 2.

In the meantime, Max Changmin has been appearing as a host on the KBS2 variety show Our Neighborhood′s Masters of Variety and Sports.

TVXQ′s Max Changmin Throws Himself Into His New Variety Show

Last night, Kang Ho Dong wasn′t the only one getting dirty for his new show; Max Changmin also joined in, leaving behind the humanoid to play the dumb idol role.

He did everything in his power to try his hand at becoming the next ′variety-dol′ onboard KBS2′s Our Neighborhood′s Masters of Variety and Sports.

In the first broadcast of the show, which aired on April 9, Max Changmin dug closer to his variety roots, doing everything in his power to stay on the same level as the expert variety personalities Kang Ho Dong and Lee Su Geun.

While trying to guess a word written in ink, he splattered his face with giant spots, while when he was asked to play the spy for his team he gave himself away immediately with his clumsy disguise, and as he learned how to play table tennis he showed he wasn′t really made for sports with his stiff movements.

He was also put down by a little kid when the kid didn′t recognize him at all, and went on to win a ′table tennis fool′ game against SHINee′s Minho.

The singer′s efforts definitely paid off, as viewers have been applauding his efforts and his show garnered high ratings

TVXQ Takes Its World Tour to Beijing

TVXQ (DBSK) continued on its world tour, landing successfully in Seoul, Hong Kong and most recently, Beijing.

On March 30, TVXQ held its TVXQ! Live World Tour ′Catch Me′ in Beijing. The 10,000 fans lucky to be at the venue for the concert were mesmerized at the duo′s fantastic performances and shining stage effects.

After starting off with Rising Sun, TVXQ went on to perform such new songs as Catch Me and Humanoids, as well as its old hits Why and Mirotic. U-know Yunho danced in a stylish performance of Honey Funny Bunny, while Max Changmin sang the ballad Tīng Hǎi in his warm voice. A total of 26 tracks were performed this day.

Fans held up their pearl red lightsticks during the entire concert, and sang along while at times chanting out the Korean fan chants.

They had already shown their passion toward the group when a giant crowd gathered at the airport to welcome TVXQ to the city on March 29.

TVXQ will go on to Japan to tour five domes from April.

TVXQ to Release ′Time′ in Korea Today

TVXQ (DBSK)′s recent Japan album Time will be released in Korea on March 27 for Korean fans.

SM Entertainment announced that "the album Time, released on March 6 in Japan, will be released in Korea in three versions."

Two of the versions, version A and version B, will contain a CD and a DVD, while there will also be a third version with only the CD.

The A version contains music videos for Winter Rose, Still, Android and Humanoids as well as a performance of Flowers with the Color of Happiness from the group′s TVXQ Live Tour 2012~TONE~.

The B version holds performances of Maximum, Why?, Somebody to Love, I Don′t Know and B.U.T along with a behind-the-scenes video from the music video shoot for Humanoids.

Time managed to sell over 244,000 copies in its first week in Japan, a number which set the album on top of the Oricon Daily Album Chart and its Weekly Chart.

TVXQ will next tour the domes of Japan in a five-dome tour from April 27.

SM Ent. Artists Take Over 40 Pages of W Magazine

A total of 19 artists from SM Entertainment posed for the cameras in a recent photo shoot with W magazine.

TVXQ’s Changmin, Super Junior’s Donghae, Kangin, Eunhyuk and Yesung, Girls’ Generation’s Taeyeon, Tiffany, Seohyun and Yuri, SHINee, and f(x) participated in the photoshoot, giving off their individual charms and beauty as the camera showered them with flashes.

The pictorial was created to celebrate the fifth anniversary of 10 Corso Como in the ’10 Corso Como Seoul Melody’ project, which will include a special remix album of hit songs by TVXQ, Super Junior, Girls’ Generation, SHINee, and f(x).

The pictorial will take 40 pages in W including a special teaser video that will be revealed on March 23. Then on March 25, a complete video of the photoshoot will be revealed through SM Entertainment’s Youtube page.

TVXQ′s Yunho Voted Most Trustworthy Leader by Japanese Fans

TVXQ′s  Yunho was chosen as the most trustworthy leader by Japanese fans in a poll.

The Japanese edition of KpopStarz hosted a poll about which leader readers would wish to follow the most if they were idol group members.

Out of the 10 male team leaders, TVXQ′s leader  Yunho came out on top with a landslide 70 percent of the votes.

Fans who voted commented, "He′s famous as the one that all SM juniors look up to. Yunho needs to be the leader of K-Pop" and "He′s a man you can count on."

The no. 2 spot went to Super Junior′s Leeteuk, no. 3 went to CN Blue′s Jung Yong Hwa, no. 4 Big Bang′s G-Dragon and no. 5 SHINee′s Onew.

TVXQ′s Max Changmin Wins an Award at the ′Japan Academy Awards′

TVXQ (DBSK)′s Max Changmin appeared at the Japan Academy Awards.

The singer was presented the Newcomer of the Year Award at the 36th Japan Academy Awards held on March 8.

In his big screen debut piece Run with the Gold, Max Changmin perfectly performed in his North Korean spy role Momo, even showing off some perfect Osaka dialect.

The Japan Academy Awards is the most influential film awards ceremony in the country, and awards winners in a total of 16 categories.

In the meantime, TVXQ sold over 200,000 copies of its sixth studio album Time in just two days.

TVXQ Sells Over 160,000 Copies of Time, Landing on Oricon′s No. 1

TVXQ (DBSK)′s new studio album Time jumped to the top of the Oricon Chart on the day of its release.

According to the Oricon on March 6, TVXQ′s Timelanded on the no. 1 spot of the Oricon Daily Album Chart. The album was released in three versions, each representing the past, present and future.

The album contains Japanese versions of Catch Me and Humanoids as well as previous singles released in Japan and a new song for a total of 14 tracks. The new promotional single In Our Time is a medium-tempo ballad which showcases the members′ soft voices.

A total of 160,719 copies of the album were sold. This number was nearly four times that of the 45,814 copies sold by ONE OK ROCK at no. 2.

TVXQ plans to go on a five-dome tour in Japan from April 27, traveling through Saitama, Tokyo, Osaka, Fukuoka, Sapporo and Nagoya.
