Fans Outraged Over Chris Brown’s Poor Treatment Toward T-ara N4 in the US

Two YouTube videos of T-ara N4‘s performance being stopped was recently released, which angered many fans and netizens.

On May 30, two new videos of T-ara N4′s “Countryside Diaries” performance at the Palms Pool Memorial Day Weekend party were uploaded. However, their performance was cut short in the middle because of Chris Brown, who suddenly stopped the girls to promote his new single.

During T-ara N4′s performance, Chris Brown suddenly interrupted, “Hey DJ, hold up real quick, hold up,” and “We got this new record real quick. My new single featuring Aaliyah. It’s called ‘They Don’t Know.’ We might sneak peek it for you right now.”

Then he said, “We’re doing it after the girls do they thing. Keep watching.” While he was saying all of this, the ladies of T-ara could not hide their confusion and bewilderment. T-ara’s Eunjung looked back and kept saying, “What happened?” as she threw her hands up. Then the music was turned on again and the girls continued with their performance.

In the second clip, it shows T-ara N4 ending their performance but looking slightly disoriented and confused. Although there were sounds of cheers and fans yelling out their names, sounds of booing and a female voice yelling “Get off the stage” could be heard.

After watching these particular clips, fans were outraged as they commented, “T-ara N4 couldn’t avoid this humiliation because of their agency’s lack of preparation and rash decision to send them to the US,” and “[The agency] should’ve made them study English more. It seems like they can’t even get angry properly because they don’t understand what’s going on.”

Other fans commented, “He invites guests but he turns off their song in the middle to promote his own single? I can’t believe this,” “T-ara N4 is not the one who ruined the performance so why do they have to be booed?” “Did Chris Brown call them over to the US to treat them so poorly?” and many more.

T-ara N4 revealed that they were opening for Chris Brown’s party on May 20. However, on May 28, controversy first arose when clips of their performance was first uploaded due to their skin-showing outfits.

T-ara N4 Gives Explanation to U.S. Concert Controversy

T-ara N4 was swept up in controversy regarding a recent U.S. performance. T-ara N4’s agency Core Contents Media had stated that T-ara N4 would be opening for aChris Brown concert. However, the picture that was revealed showed T-ara being scantily clad in a small sized swimming pool. The issues that Netizens had was the fact that T-ara N4 had done a concert in a Las Vegas swimming pool and not open for Chris Brown. Netizens stated that Core Contents Media had lied!

A representative of Core Contents Media stated, “The clip that was revealed online shows T-ara performing for ‘Memorial Day Weekend 2013’ as a guest, which was planned by Chris Brown and Whiz Khalifa. It is a party that is held every year, most of the people at the party wear bikinis.”

The representative continued, “The atmosphere of the show is very free so many musicians go up on stage without their shirt on. T-ara wore a swimsuit type outfit to match the occasion. We believe the controversy was caused because of cultural differences.”

T-ara N4 spends Memorial Day weekend with Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, and Amber Rose

                 

While fans were out enjoying their BBQs during Memorial Day weekend in the States, T-ara N4 spent the holiday with stars Chris Brown, Wiz Khalifa, and Amber Rose.

The girls didn't forget to take proof shots as they hung out with these big names backstage at the 'Memorial Day Weekend 2013' concert held in Las Vegas.

Producer KNOTCH who worked with Justin Timberlake, Jay-Z, and more, also entertained the crowd with his remix of "Countryside Life" while he was entertaining as a DJ on stage.

T-ara N4 Changes Schedule to Perform at Wiz Khalifa’s Concert

T-ara‘s sub unit T-ara N4 will be guest performing at another American artist’s concert this month. The sub unit received a sudden invitation to be guests at Wiz Khalifa‘s concert. 

According to the group’s agency, T-ara N4 received the sudden invitation on May 22. To accommodate this unexpected yet exciting event, the agency had to make some emergency scheduling changes. The group was also planning to fly out on May 25 for Chris Brown‘s Las Vegas concert but will leave earlier on Mary 23 to prepare for Wiz Khalifa’s concert. The group will perform with the rapper  for their song “Countryside Diaries.”

In an earlier press conference, T-ara N4 had announced that there would be five different version of their song with Chris Brown, Snoop Dog, Ray Jay, Wiz Khalifa, and T-Pain replacing the Korean rap. 

T-ara N4 will perform with Wiz Khalifa on May 24 and then with Chris Brown on May 26. They will also attend the BET Awards with Chris Brown on June 30.

T-ara N4 to Release ′Countryside Diaries′ in America with Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown, T-Pain and Ray J

T-ara N4 dropped the news that it would be flying to America with various versions of Countryside Diaries featuring Snoop Dogg, Chris Brown and more pop stars.

The group held a press conference in Seoul on May 20, and spoke up on its plans to enter America following a love call from Chris Brown.

The group added that it had met with Chris Brown in person on May 12, and that the members had talked about promotions in America with various musicians.

Member Hyo Min said, "The new version of Countryside Diaries will draw participation from Snoop Dogg, T-Pain, Ray J and Chris Brown. Five different versions of the song will be released in America and around the world at the same time."

Eun Jung added, "The songs will be released sometime around June. We′ll decide on when based on the promotions of local singers."

T-ara N4 Members Talk About Their First Kiss

T-ara’s Jiyeon recently revealed some surprising news about her first kiss! She appeared on Mnet’s “Beatles Code 2” and talked about it.

The MC asked Jiyeon about her first kiss and she answered, “My first kiss was in the 3^rd year of middle school. (This is the equivalent of 8^th grade in the U.S.) The person I kissed was not the same age as I was, he was an oppa.”

T-ara’s Eunjung also spoke up about her first kiss. She stated, “I had my first kiss when I was 20. I had my first boyfriend then and that is when I had my first kiss. I think I had my first kiss at a Hongdae café.” Hyomin stated, “I had my first kiss the transition between highschool and college. I did it after the national college entrance exam.”

T-ara N4 Shares Video From Los Angeles Meet and Greet

Who got to meet T-ara N4 in Los Angeles?

On May 14 T-ara‘s sub unit T-ara N4 held a meet and greet for Vlado Footwear in Los Angeles. K-Pop and T-ara fans lined up to see the girl group face to face and get their posters and albums signed. Vlado Footwear shared a video of the event through their official YouTube channel.

In the video we see not only T-ara N4 for but also their newest and yet to official debut member, Dani. T-ara N4 are dressed in their “Countryside Diaries” promotional outfits while Dani is simply dressed in a whit top and jean shorts. The girls check out the merchandise from the Vlado Footwear store and give a short message (the video has subs) while Dani translates. The girls, including Dani, then sign autographs for the fans that waited in the long lines.

T-ara N4 and Chris Brown Finally Meet Face-to-Face

T-ara N4 finally had the chance to singer Chris Brown face-to-face!

On May 13, Core Contents Media revealed that Chris Brown had graciously sent 18 bodyguards to safely escort the girls from the airport to where they were staying on May 12.

The girls went to the CF filming site where Chris Brown was to officially greet him. They also reported that Chris Brown greeted the girls warmly, saying “I have been wanting to meet you guys” with a bright smile. The girls thanked him in return saying, “Thank you for liking ‘Countryside Diaries‘ so much that you would invite us to the United States. Thank you for providing a limousine upon our arrival in the U.S., we sincerely appreciate your hospitality.”

Representatives of T-ara N4′s agency also shared, “While T-ara is in the U.S., they will be meeting up with Chris Brown’s entourage of musicians and music industry representatives that he knows. They will be returning either Thursday or Friday to Korea after these scheduled meetings.”

T-ara N4 also gave Chris Brown a traditional Korean ceramic vase as a gift. T-ara N4 said, “We weren’t sure what kind of gift to give him, but we thought a beautiful traditional Korean vase would be appropriate in conveying Korea’s rich culture.” Chris Brown thanked them saying, “I didn’t know there were ceramic vases this beautiful” and thanked them for the gift.

Last week, we reported that Chris Brown sent a love call to T-ara N4. Earlier today, one of the Sr. partners from the Popular Entertainment Group, All Around Entertainment Group, and others working on the music video, tweeted photos with T-ara N4.

Recall, after seeing T-ara N4′s MV for “Countryside Life“, which Dani showed him, Brown invited the subunit to his music video filming. T-ara N4 headed over to meet him at Los Angeles immediately after their performance at the Dream Concert. In addition to visiting the filming set, they are set to discuss music-related topics during the visit.

Chris Brown to collaborate with T-ara N4

On May 11, Core Contents Media revealed that T-ara member Dani had personally known Chris Brown since her elementary school days and that the famous U.S. singer had expressed interest in producing something with the girls. 

Core Contents Media went on to say, “Through PSY, Chris Brown became interested in working with Korean singers. He has known about T-ara for sometime now, thanks to YouTube. When Dani showed Chris Brown T-ara N4‘s music video for ‘Countryside Diaries,’ he said he definitely wanted to work with the girls and invited them to the United States.”

It was also announced that T-ara N4 will be catching the next plane to Los Angeles, California to meet Chris Brown on May 12. Chris Brown will also be taking a plane to Los Angeles from San Jose after performing at a concert. The two parties will be meeting up to discuss music and the possibility of collaborating together.

In related news, Dani is traveling back and forth between the U.S. and Korea to practice choreography and rap.

T-ara N4 to Talk About Ex-Member Hwayoung Incident

On May 6, T-ara unit group T-ara N4 will seek to address some of the supposed grievances surrounding the treatment of ex-member Hwayoung on Mnet‘s “Beatles Code 2.” 

On May 3, a preview clip of the upcoming broadcast was shown where the MC asked T-ara N4 members, “Do you have anything to say regarding the shock the public received when they heard about Hwayoung’s mistreatment and isolation?” In response, the girls couldn’t hold their tears as they began to speak on the matter that had plagued female idol group T-ara for the past year. 

Eunjung began, “To be honest, we wanted to say something about it. We never knew that Hwayoung was going to be dropped from the group. It really pains us that she had to go through that.” Hyomin added, “This is not a case where a member was bullied and mistreated.”

Fans will have a chance to hear it from the girls’ point of view and perhaps forgive the company for handling the departure of ex-member Hwayoung from the group so poorly. Perhaps such unfortunate incidents can be avoided in the future with better communication between parties and a second chance for idols to cement their rightfully earned spot in a group.

T-ara N4 Parties It Up in the Countryside for ′Countryside Diaries′

                            

The drama version music video opens up with the simple plot of T-ara N4 members, working hard under the blazing sun, bored and tired of the farm life. When their supervisor gets distracted, the girls play hooky so that they can enter a spontaneous dance competition.

The music video is fast-paced and filled with a countless number of cameos, including singer Kim Wan Sun, politician Heo Kyung Young, actor Jung Woon Taek, former baseball player Yang Joon Hyuk, Davichi’s Kang Min Kyung, and even SPEED’s Tae Woon.

The reason why Countryside Diaries tugged us in right from the start is because of the mix of the old and new.

Not only did the special cameo appearances by veteran actors, Choi Bool Am and Kim Su Mi (who are adorable by the way), had us remembering the good ol’ drama series Countryside Diaries, which aired from 1980 to 2002, even the song itself includes part of the drama’s theme song, triggering a memory from our childhood as we grew up watching the series with our grandparents.

Nostalgia and traditional Korean music mixed in with the new exciting beats and melodies has already got this song on repeat (in our heads at least).

Now, the only real complaint we have of this song and video is that it has so many inside jokes that may be quite exclusive to Koreans.

T-ara N4 said it wants to let the warmth of the people from the Korean countryside be known to the world – and that’s all great, but how can that happen when the majority of the international audience knows nothing about the little things happening in the music video?

We’re not saying that people newly introduced to this song or music video won’t enjoy it, but we believe it won’t be fully appreciated without knowing what the cameo appearances, the scenarios, and even the dance moves are referring to. 

But in the end, we do give T-ara N4 some props for bringing this part of Korean culture into light. And just like the group sings in the song, we’ll stop bickering and just enjoy what T-ara N4 has brought to us.
