EXO, B2ST, Infinite, and More to Participate in the Idol Star Athletics Championships

It′s that time of the year again, and 160 members of different idol groups will compete against each other in this year’s Idol Star Athletics Championships.

On August 30, MBC announced that Kim Je Dong and Jeon Hyun Moo will be hosting the 2013 Idol Star Athletics Championships with comedian Lee Byung Jin and announcer Heo Il Woo commentating on the futsal match. B2ST’s Lee Gi Kwang and Defconn will be interviewing the idols on the floor. 

This Chuseok’s Championship will have a total of 160 idol group members from EXO, B2ST, Infinite, 2AM, miss A, MBLAQ, ZE:A, Secret, Rainbow, BTOB, B1A4, Teen Top, Crayon Pop and more. 

For the first time ever on Idol Star Athletics Championship, idols will play a match of fustal, or indoor soccer. As many of the male idols used to or currently play soccer, the futsal match is already becoming an anticipated event. 

The filming for the Idol Star Athletics Championship will take place on September 3 at the Goyang Indoor Gymnasium. The broadcast is expected to happen during the Chuseok festivities on September 18-20.

Infinite′s L Becomes a Swan Prince

Infinite′s L became a prince with shining skin, appealing to girls for a makeup brand.

L was chosen as the muse of cosmetics brand Shara Shara, and recently attended a photo shoot for the brand.

Photos from the shoot were released on August 29.

Kim Ok Yeop, deputy head of Shara Shara′s marketing team, said, "L has an image of a romantic and sensitive man, like the figures of romance comics. We expect him to be a model that will be like a boyfriend to the feminine Shara Shara."

An official who was at the shoot, which took place on August 27, also said, "He dominated on set with his looks and perfect skin. He was charismatic and mysterious, and at the same time was manly and lovely like a little brother."

Shara Shara is a brand launched in 2011 and has showcased over 600 items for women who want younger skin.

Sandara Park and CL Volunteer at Holt Orphanage

Recently on August 29, 2NE1‘s CL and Sandara Park visited Holt Orphanage to volunteer. On their respective Twitter accounts on the same day, they each uploaded a photo.

Sandara Park also left a message, “I visited Holt Orphanage with Chaerin (CL). Lovely babies… I fed them and played with them. I think the babies liked me because I held them >.< Please grow up to be strong and pretty! I’m your Dara noona or aunt ㅠ Please remember me~”

On CL’s photo, she is giving a loving hug to a baby on the floor. On Sandara’s picture, she is also hugging a baby as she smiles happily.

Netizens whot saw these photos commented, “Sandara Park has a good heart,” “Cute baby,” and “Good to see CL and Sandara volunteering despite their busy schedule.”

Taeyeon and EXO Become the New Faces of “Nature Republic”

Have you visited South Korea? If you have,  you must’ve visited Seoul’s Myeongdong street! You will have noticed the long row of cosmetic stores with the faces of the hottest Hallyu stars on their billboards, posters, and products. It is a sure sign that you are already or on your way to becoming a Hallyu star, and this is true of Girls’ Generation‘s Taeyeon and fellow labelmate boy group EXO. 

Taeyeon and EXO have become the new faces of the cosmetic brand “Nature Republic,” signing a two-year contract with the brand that is on its way to become a global household name. The brand stated they chose Taeyeon and EXO for their clean image and individuality and their ability to approach both the domestic and international market. 

Meanwhile, Girls’ Generation is busy with their “Girls & Peace” world tour and EXO is continuing the successful promotion of their latest hit, “Growl.”

Super Junior’s Heechul Starts Post-Military Activities with Radio Program Appearance

Super Junior’s Heechul is back! The “”Big Space Star” will be starting his post-military activities with a guest appearance on fellow teammate Shindong‘s radio program, “Shim Shim Tapa“!

Heechul will be the guest for the September 2 episode of “Shim Shim Tapa” and with this, starts his official activities after being discharged with honors on August 30 KST after completing his mandatory military service. Heechul is currently practicing and preparing for Super Junior’s concert tour and new album, although no specific dates have been announced yet by SM Entertainment.

Naomi Watts covers InStyle UK

After portraying the Princess of Wales in the biopic “Diana,” Naomi Watts admits she struggled with the role in the October 2013 issue of InStyle UK.
“More than twice I thought about not doing this,” Miss Watts explained. “I said no before I said yes just because taking on that challenge is a massive one. There were weeks of deciding, and then I said, ‘God I don’t like the idea of anyone else playing that role.’”
She continued, “Of course, people are going to jump to say, ‘She’s not tall enough; she doesn’t have the nose, the look, the voice…’ all those things. But once I got past that, I liked the idea of the challenge.”
Unfortunately, those close to Diana have already started criticizing before even seeing the film. Dr. Hasnat Khan, the man who held a two year affair with the Princess, stated the film doesn’t give the Princess or their relationship any justice.
Last Sunday (August 25), Hasnat told The Mail, “You could tell from that picture that it is all just presumed about how we would behave with each other, and they have got it completely wrong.”
“There wasn’t any hierarchy in our relationship. She wasn’t a Princess and I wasn’t a doctor,” he added.

Lamar Odom was arrested for DUI

Khloe Kardashian's husband Lamar Odom was arrested for driving under the influence in the early hours of Friday morning.
The NBA star, 33, is being held in Van Nuys jail on $15,000 bail, LAPD confirm.
He was pulled over just before 4am for driving too slow (50mph) on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.
He and did not immediately respond to police, passing three exits and driving in a 'serpentine manner' before stopping, according to TMZ.
He failed numerous field sobriety checks but refused all chemical tests, the website claims.
